HONEY'S HALLO-WEINER
'A Walk in the Woods'
October 2014

Here it is, nearly Halloween 2014, as we try to 'party on'!
It's been a good month, all around, despite the disappointing news of a Sara and Marianne's miscarriages.  We know that there are spirits awaiting a turn on earth and we hope that they will find a home in our family this next year.
Our Hallo-weiner was such fun!  The day of, I had so many ideas running through my head, I wasn't sure I could pull of the 'Walk in the Woods.'  Then I realized I had talented 'thespian' children who could assist and so, thanks to them being darn good sports (so like their Dad) I had four stops on the walk with 4 different characters.
Pat was an excellent Scarecrow who handed out flashlights after his story, telling the 'grands' there was 'pirate trouble' ahead.  Coby jumped out of the woods in his trusty Pirate character, telling the children there was buried treasure that they needed to find before that scurvy pirate, Blackbeard got his hands on it!  Treasure was to be found and the pirate told them to walk on, and beware of the 'Witch'!  Marianne proved to be a likable but totally witchy witch, who read a story, telling the kids there was always 'room on her broom'!  She warned of something ahead that might want to catch them in his 'web'!  By then it was getting dark (sorry, no picture) but Ben, dressed as Spiderman, jumped out of a tree and sprayed all with silly string, thus 'catching' us in his 'web'!
Then it was back to Honey's to enjoy Hallo-' weiners', cider, cupcakes and games.
I can't deny it, I often have brilliant ideas that work - and this one did.  Love that I can count on my children.
Sorry Bob and Sara's family missed out being in Boise.  Bob would have made an excellent 'Skeleton', now that he works with 'limbs'!
I know Jim was with us all evening.  I still feel him very close.  I know he wants to be a part of our lives and know he is there to be our guardian angel.
Missed you darling, as always!
