TWENTY TWENTY TWO - SKIDDOO!!
HOLY MOLEY,  another year and a half and NO posts.  Backwards we go to July 2020!!!

I think we've won the contest for most 'different' doctors visits these past couple of years.  In fact Reid says we're Alumni of several hospitals. I think weve seen every 'ologist' that exists.  Here goes:  Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, Neurologist - (3), Dermatologist, Orthopedi-ologist, Physical therapy-ologists and maybe there are more!

We counceled with Reids Neurologist who officially or as i like to think 'unofficially' diagnosed him with Lewy Body Dementia last fall!  But oh well - we still decided to brave BACK surgery to correct severe spinal stenosis this past February.  Thankfully he seems to be recovering much quicker than the former Pulmonary surgery for which we're both EXTREMELY grateful.

I am becoming a regular 'caretaker'and probably not the nicest one either.  Patience has always been my downfall but apparently that is what I seem to be needing to learn.  Reid, on the other hand, is patient beyond normal bounds.  He is also very tolerant of my vaious 'moods' and emotional stresses.  Yes, it's been HARD and yes, these last few years haven't been what I had expected when I met this very kind and handsome man in 2018.  I admit there are times when I just want to RUN AWAY but then, like when I was 5 years old, I know I'd just miss being home with the people I love.

I do love Reid and I am most grateful to have a companion that is really quite wonderful and one I know Jim would approve of.  I get frustrated knowing that there will probably be more patience needed in the years to come but I have many times prayed that I would be the giver if I didn't have to be the 'givee'!

Now for fun, for Christmas 2020, I gave all my children the gift of a trip to the "Rockin R Ranch' in Antimony Utah in June 2021!

Everyone really had a BLAST, especially the youngins.  There were horses to ride, hikes, a swimming hole, great all inclusive meals, line dancing, games, archery, dutch oven dinners, hatchet throwing, roaping and they even provided us with our own private rodeo.  I have to say it was a BIG success.  A favorite trip for the grands so far.

BEARLAKE

Summer arrived and so did alot of fire smoke with made Bear Lake often un-barable.  Combined with the drought we've been in, the lake being way down and the population of Bear Lake growing by leaps and bounds, it has proven to be a bit disappointig.  Still, fun was had by all as we enjoyed our boat, our own family Rodeo,
day games, night games, plays on our own homemade stage, the Raspberry Days Parade and just fun chats on the front lawn with those we love.

In our new home which we love (purchased April 2021) by the Jordan River Temple, we have a back yard hill so we had some fun sleepovers with the grands and slip and sliding.  Sleepovers are always a frequently requested time with Honey!

Reids family was able to join us at the lake too, minus just a couple of the fam.  Also the traditional FAB FIVE with their annual retreat and we finally got the Eldredges and Lindsays up to the lake for a day stay!!!

Then Halloween and again with no Walk in the Woods due to Covid rearing it's ugly head once again.  The Got to visit the Bob Rich family in Twin Falls - always such fun.  They are gardeners, socer players and 'canners' extrodinaire!  They like to go to dinner at the Elevation restaurant overlooking the Snake river gorge too!

Christmas was snowy this year and though the picture is bad, we did get to have our annual Breakfast with Santa Eric and a wonderful Christmas Adam.  Bob and Sara were able to come with their family as well as Pack and Maggie from Scotsdale.  Sadly, I found my ice skating days are over as the family enjoyed an evening at the Riverton Rink.  Can't miss the fun though!!!

In January 2022 we were able to visit our beloved St. George home for the last time.  The Pat Riches joine us as Millie had gymnastics competition and we love being with this cute family.

We also participated in February in Bear Lake Winterfest and the Monster Plunge.  The Lance Welch and Ben Rich families were the brave ones.

The Welch family invited me to the Heber Valley Ice Castles and they were spectacular.  My first visit!!!

Before Reids February surgery, we were able to gather with all of his living siblings for lunch.  Reid was given a wonderful blessing which we believe was surely heard above as surgery went well.

Done and Done - hopefully BACK to normal soon!

Recent highlights include our 16 going on 17 year old Juniors going to PROM with their current sweeties!
Love Sam and Corbin SO MUCH!

March is upon us and I will be a sensational 72!!
We are looking forward to a wonderful spring and summer ahead and so......until then!!!
